Jack's Yellow World - The Best Way To Bring Happiness

Hi guys! Today I would like to share a wonderful story, which is full of warmth, surprise, and a bit of chaos. And it all started on a day at the community rescue center, a day filled with both uncertainty and hope. Jack, the star of this story, never imagined at the time that this new journey would take him to such an amazing world. Now, let's dive into Jack's experience and see how this marvellous story unfolded.

A New Beginning: A Journey Home

Jack had been living at the community rescue center for as long as he could remember. Due to safety concerns, he was rarely taken out. But that day felt very different. He sensed something exciting. During breakfast, the staff told him that someone was coming to adopt him. His heart raced with both excitement and a bit of fear. The person who came for him was a young woman named Jenny, adopting her very first pet.

When Jack was placed in the car, he found himself surrounded by unfamiliar smells and sights, including a brand new dog seat cover that protected the passenger seat.  His eyes caught the color yellow on the car seat cover, giving him comfort in this unfamiliar setting. Next to him, a shopping bag was filled with stuff, some peeking out—dog toys, pet treats and even a yellow blanket. Jack felt curious, excited, and nervous all at once, but he knew this was a new start, so did Jenny.

As they drove, the gentle sway of the car, combined with the softness of the car back seat cover, lulled him into a peaceful nap. When he woke up, they had arrived at his new home.

Jack's first step into his new home was overwhelming. The space was bright, dominated by shades of yellow, from the carpet to the sofa to his very own dog car seat in the corner.  Jack's visual world was extremely impacted, and it felt like the sun was wrapping the whole room. But he was still nervous about a completely new space. So,  like any lively dog, he explored it all—running from the living room to the bedroom, testing out the smells, and darting across the yellow carpet. Jenny, eager to help him settle in, tried to calm him, but the first night was filled with playful chaos. Every time she tried to calm him down, he would run away again. I reckon, they both felt a little out of control on the first night.

Finding their Rhythm: From Chaos to Comfort

But as the days went on, things began to change. The chaos of the first night gradually subsided and a new rhythm was establishing. Jack's dog beds found its place near the window, and his daily routine started to form. Every morning, he wakes up from his yellow bed facing the sunshine. Aha, Jenny had arranged a vibrant home for him. Eating breakfast with Jenny is the first thing he does every day after getting up. Then it is a new day: Jenny is often in a hurry to go to work, and Jack also hurriedly finishes his breakfast and then watch her go out.

Once she left for work, Jack had the house to himself. Sometimes, he'd play with his toys, run around in a well-behaved manner, and stretch out on the carpet in the living room. And then he'd nap in his favorite sunspot, the yellow bed Jenny thoughtfully bought for him. Occasionally, mischief would strike, and he might leave some dirt and his muddy paw prints on the sofa cover, and... knock over a vase (that's terrible~~).

When Jenny gets home, they'd go for walks—exploring the dog park, the streets, and nearby stores. Jenny put the yellow harness and leash on him and set off. For the first few times, they have not found the right rhythm yet. Jack is often attracted by the scenery - like the lights of cars when crossing the road, or the amusement facilities in the park... But now it is different. They have learned the best way to enjoy the outdoors. They can walk on the road in tacit understanding and keep a peaceful pace. Emm... Alright, there are still some little accidents.

Although the daily routine seemed strangely the same, Jack felt more relaxed with each passing day. The yellow in this room began to make him feel like he belonged. It became a reassuring place - his home.

Settling In: A Home, A Family

A few months passed, and Jack had gotten used to the routine of his new home. His bed, tucked in the corner next to the window, had become his comfort zone. He no longer felt nervous in this room and his owner—it felt like home. He saw Jenny off every morning and greeted her home on time in the evening. Jenny did the same. Jenny, too, had found her stride. She no longer seemed flustered or uncertain. She understood when Jack wanted to play, what toys would keep him excited, and what would make him uncomfortable. She always ensured Jack had access to water and was comfortable, his stuff fits him perfectly.

Every afternoon, as the sun dipped lower, Jack was taking a nap in bed, bathing in the golden sunlight coming in from the window, he would hear a familiar sound - keys jingling at the door. Then he would immediately jump out of bed, rush to the entrance, and greet Jenny with wagging excitement. Jenny would pick up the toy on the ground and throw it out, and Jack would respond quickly to catch it. Their routine had become predictable yet comforting. After a while, it was time for dinner again. They had formed a fixed rhythm, and as each day passed, Jack, Jenny and this little yellow room had become a family.

Alright, you might have guessed by now—I'm Jack, the puppy in this story. It's my story. But, did you discover anything? The yellow items you've heard me mention? They're not just decorations, they're a big part of my world. My yellow bed was the first thing I noticed in my new home, and it made me feel secure, and that makes sense, but you may not know that dogs are color blind, and yellow brings us brightness and vitality in our weak vision. For me, it gives me peace of mind and a sense of home. I guess, Jenny doesn't know either, but coincidentally, she is also a big fan of yellow. That's great, every detail depends on Jenny's careful selection of styles that offered both comfort and durability. She somehow chose the perfect color to make our house feel like a home for me.

So, this is my story. I'm lucky to have found a home filled with love, warmth, and...yellow. And now, ooh, excuse me, as I dash off to the door, tail wagging wildly, waiting to welcome Jenny home.
